Acibadem International Hospital
Acibadem International Hospital, is Turkey’s first private hospital. The hospital, which began admitting patients in 1998, joined the Acibadem Healthcare Group in 2005. With renovation efforts beginning in 2006, all polyclinic areas, doctors’ examination rooms and inpatient floors were updated to make it a more comfortable experience for patients, as well as its staff. Acibadem International Hospital has become a world-class leading hospital, which is preferred by foreign and local patients.
Since it was established, the Acibadem International Hospital has introduced many ‘firsts’ in Turkey. It has accomplished many ‘firsts’ among private hospitals.

Medical Units
Acibadem International Hospital provides services in many branches of medicine including units of General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Thoracic Surgery, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, Menopause Polyclinic as well as an Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit, Sleep Laboratory and a Catheter Laboratory.
The hospital’s Outpatient Chemotherapy Unit has been designed and planned to world class standards for cancer patients, aimed to offer treatment by improving the patient’s morale. The hospital also has a specially designed Sleep Laboratory, which is equipped with modern devices, the patients with sleeping disorder receive diagnosis, prognosis and treatment services in an environment, where they can feel comfortable with advanced medical opportunities. In this laboratory, where the patients visit and get their examinations seven days a week, measurements can be performed in 24 different parameters with a polysomnography device.
Acibadem International Hospital has a reputable Neurology polyclinic and laboratory, Physiotherapy and rehabilitation services, and Transplant Center which offers free health care services that are provided under SGK agreement and a Donor Protection Program, which offers free post-operation medical check-ups for the donor.
Acibadem International Hospital also operates on contract with many health insurers providing emergency, Pediatric Cardiology, Tissue and Organ Transplantation, Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery services as part of the SSI contract.
Medical Technologies
Acibadem International Hospital has advanced imaging performed with the 1.5 Tesla MR, offering substantial comfort to patients in the diagnosis, staging and treatment of cancer. The hospital also has Breast Ultrasound and Doppler devices, Full Body MRI device, Cardiac Tomography device, a Telemetry System, a 3-D Panoramic X-ray machine and a CEREC device used for diagnosis and treatment.
Patient comfort and safety
Ever since its inauguration in 1989, significant investments have been made into the hospital. Parallel with the developments in medicine, in order to ensure patient privacy as well as for ethical and scientific reasons, patient-specific intensive care room formation have been applied in intensive care units. The hospital has a total of 99 beds, 26 of which are intensive care unit beds and 22 patient observation beds.
